The evening will include inductions into the Rodeo Hall of Fame, presentation of the Ben Johnson and Tad Lucas Memorial Awards, and auctions to benefit this support arm of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Previously, Rodeo Hall of Fame Weekend consisted of two awards dinners. The new, one-night format is designed make the weekend more affordable, encourage greater attendance and shine the spotlight on honorees on Saturday night – traditionally regarded as a high point in rodeo culture. Already announced for induction into the Rodeo Hall of Fame is producer Randy Bernard. RHS members will select by vote in early summer the remaining members of the 2014 Hall of Fame class. Guests are encouraged to arrive in Oklahoma City by Friday evening, September 26 and attend a Cocktails and Conversation gathering at the museum. Special activities will be hosted at the museum during the day on Saturday, including the annual RHS membership meeting and popular storytelling session, Rerides Rendezvous. No formal invitation is required, but reservations are requested for most activities. In addition to an invitation, members have the privilege of voting on inductees into the Rodeo Hall of Fame. Single annual memberships, as well as RHS/Museum All-Around memberships are available with a variety of benefits. See you in September!
