Brown Bag Lunch Series: Hollywood’s Transition Westerns: Bridging Traditional and Modern in the Old West
Noon – 1:00 p.m.
Dub and Mozelle Richardson Theater

Between the eras of clear-cut story lines featuring good guys in white hats and cynical, sanguineous character studies of unsavory anti-heroes, there emerged from Hollywood a series of transition western movies – individual, mature, self-aware, and increasingly complex but still largely operating within the established boundaries of the genre. Film historian Elizabeth Anthony, author of ReelClassics.com, leads this cavalcade through some iconic transition westerns. Bring your lunch or purchase one at The Museum Grill. Reservations are not required. Free admission to the Theater and The Museum Grill.
