Spiro Mounds afforded researchers a treasure trove of Mississippian material culture. It was full of pottery, woven textiles, incised shells, beaded clothing and many more examples of Native art and craftsmanship. During Spring Break try your hand at similar crafts. Drop by and participate in family-friendly activities and create a different make-and-take craft each day. No reservations required. Activities are available while supplies last. Free for Museum members or with Museum admission.

In the Spiro and the Art of the Mississippian World exhibition you will see many examples of figures like people and animals made of clay and stone. Use clay to make your own figurine.
