Featuring the Cowboy Artists of America (CAA) 52nd Annual Sale & Exhibition and the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association (TCAA) 19th Annual Exhibition & Sale.

In one of the most significant events in the world of fine art, the Museum hosts the opening weekend events and sale for two outstanding exhibitions. TCAA showcases the best of saddlemaking, bit and spur making, silversmithing, and rawhide braiding, while CAA features art celebrating the West through painting, drawing, and sculpture. The Cowboy Crossings exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, October 7. Activities including an autograph party, artist demonstrations, and exclusive Trunk Shows at The Museum Store are free with Museum admission. The CAA exhibition will be on view through November 26, while works by TCAA artists will be on exhibit through January 7, 2018.

Thursday, October 5

6:00 p.m. Dinner with the Artists*

The Petroleum Club of Oklahoma City; reservations required. Business Casual or Western Attire.

 

Friday, October 6

2:00 p.m. Tour of Dickinson Research Center or Life and Legacy: The Art of Jerome Tiger exhibition. Meet at Admissions for an exclusive tour with Museum Curators.

6:00 p.m. Exclusive Preview* Mix and mingle with the CAA & TCAA and fellow collectors while viewing art. Exhibition galleries; reservations required.  Business Casual or Western Attire.

 

Saturday, October 7

9:00 a.m. CAA & TCAA Exhibitions Open to the Public with Museum Admission.

9:00 a.m. Autograph Party. Meet the artists and get your CAA & TCAA catalogs autographed; includes complimentary Cowboy Crossings poster. East Hallway; free with Museum admission.

11:30 a.m. Lunch with the Artists. Enjoy a program presented by select CAA & TCAA members. Sam Noble Special Events Center; reservations required.

1:00 p.m. Demonstrations by Select CAA & TCAA Artists. East Hallway; free with Museum admission.

5:00 p.m. CAA & TCAA Sale Begins with Cocktails in the Galleries. Reservations required. Black-Tie Optional.

6:00 p.m. Minimum-Bid Sale Concludes

6:30 p.m. Fixed Price Draw for Art Begins with First Horn**

6:50 p.m. Second Horn** 

7:10 p.m. Sale Ends with Double Horn** 

7:30 p.m. Celebration Dinner & Awards. Sam Noble Special Events Center; reservations required. Black-Tie Optional.

 

Enjoy music at The End of the Trail immediately following the Celebration Dinner & Awards. Cocktails available and Galleries remain open for additional viewing and purchasing.
