Military Appreciation Day
In honor of the brave individuals who serve our country, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is proud to offer free admission to all active-duty and retired military on National Day of the Cowboy, Saturday, July 26.
In partnership with the USO, the Museum will host a series of special programs to recognize and celebrate the dedication of our service members:
- 11:30 a.m. | Oath of Enlistment Ceremony
Witness a moving moment as new recruits take the official Oath of Enlistment, joining the ranks of the U.S. Armed Forces. - All Day | Honoring the Military — Interactive Activity
Step into the Gallery of the Frontier West and explore the stories of soldiers who served at early outposts in Indian Territory. Learn how the Code of the West shaped their values and defined their courage. - All Day | USO Thank-You Card Station
Stop by the USO booth to write a note of gratitude to deployed service members. It’s a small gesture with a big impact.
Military guests receive free Museum admission all day with a valid military ID. Join us as we celebrate the spirit of the West and the men and women who embody it through service.
