Western movies have provided some of the most iconic images associated with the American West, but perhaps none more potent than that of the American Cowboy. Join Museum curator Johanna Blume, Curator of Western Collections, for an engaging overview of the new exhibition Lights, Camera, Cowboy. From silent film stars to contemporary reinterpretations and reimagings, Blume will explore the cowboy (and cowgirl) in pop culture, white hat/black hat narratives, and the international reach of the Western.
Bring your lunch or purchase one at The Museum Grill.
Reservations required. $5; free for Museum members. Space limited, open until full.
