Meet Cookie the Chuckwagon Cook each Tuesday in June and July for a special reading of one of our favorite books about the West. Learn how the Code of the West inspired characters from children’s literature, join Cookie on Trail Rides into the galleries, and take home a memory to enjoy after your visit.
In Armadillo Tattletale, a long-eared eavesdropping armadillo spreads false rumors about others, but gets caught. The armadillo learns their lesson and is rewarded for changing its tattletale habits.
Locations for each week’s Reading Rodeo will be provided at the front desk.
