Steampunk Fall Celebration

October 30, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Come in your best Steampunk (or Halloween) get-up for the Museum’s fall celebration. Create your own Steampunk accessories: bowtie or broach and goggles. Explore the Design-a-Robot maker space and create your own mini ‘bot out of everyday objects. Try your hand at fast-draw target practice, look out for a penny-farthing and learn a dance or two. While supplies last. Free to Museum members or with Museum admission.

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum values guest safety and creating a positive environment for all who visit. The following policies are in place for visitors that attend Museum events and programs. Costumes may not be demeaning to any ethnic group, race, religion, nationality, disability, gender or individual. “Dressing up” as a particular ethnic/indigenous culture is inappropriate and not permitted.

Prop weapons may be allowed only if they cannot be mistaken for real weapons. The barrel of all prop firearms must be covered with brightly colored caps. Prop bows may be allowed providing all arrows have soft tips. All weapons will be inspected by a member of the Museum’s security staff upon guest entry. Permissible items are subject to the Museum’s discretion.
