The Museum will be closed to the public on Friday, December 20 for a private event.

The Cowboy is proud to once again host the Red Earth Festival, one of the largest Native American cultural celebrations and art markets in the nation. Celebrating its 38th year, the Red Earth Festival is a three-day, multi-faceted celebration of Native art and culture.

The Red Earth Festival includes a juried art market featuring both traditional and contemporary works including painting, sculpture, basketry, beadwork, jewelry, pottery and attire by some of the most celebrated Native artists working today. Native dance presentations, musical performances, awards presentations and artist demonstrations and lectures are also a mainstay of the three-day celebration.

Known as one of the largest festivals of its kind, Red Earth annually attracts individuals from throughout the world, including tribal members from more than 100 different Native American tribes. Though usually held in June each year, the Red Earth Festival is being moved to spring so be sure to mark your calendars. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind celebration!

Information and advance tickets are available online at redearth.org. Same-day tickets available at the door. $15 per person per day; children 5 and under free with a paid adult.
