Kathie Lee Gifford, born in Paris in 1953, is an American television presenter, singer, actress, and author, renowned for co-hosting Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee (1985–2000) alongside Regis Philbin, and later, NBC’s Today show’s fourth hour with Hoda Kotb (2008–2019). She received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations, winning one in 2010 with the Today team. Her career began in the late 1970s on Name That Tune and spanned various roles, including as a correspondent for Good Morning America and on Hee Haw Honeys. She starred in music, film, and musical theater, creating shows like Scandalous, which ran briefly on Broadway.

Beyond television, Gifford released multiple albums and books, often reflecting her Christian faith and spiritual themes. She was married twice, first to Paul Johnson and later to sportscaster Frank Gifford until his death in 2015. Gifford has also contributed to children’s literature and worked in film, directing and producing projects inspired by widowhood. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021. Committed to philanthropy, she supports child abuse prevention through Childhelp and funded shelters for babies born with HIV in New York City.
