Bio

Benjamin Wallace was born in Greenville, Texas and raised on his father’s ranch until age 14, when he went out on his own and began working as a cowboy on cattle trails.

In 1890, he was hired by the Waters Cattle Company to come to Arizona and manage their operations south of Winslow, Arizona. In 1900, Wallace bought the Esperanza Land and Cattle Company, and then in 1907, he bought the Truax Ranch in Adamana, Arizona and moved there. In 1908, he formed the Wallace, Bly and Wallace Cattle Company with 2,500 head of Cattle.

He continued to buy and sell land and cattle until he retired in 1933.
