Amberley Snyder

1991-

Utah

Born in California and raised in Utah, Snyder began riding horses at age 3 and competing in rodeo at age 7. She was the 2009 National Little Britches Association Finals and World All-Around Cowgirl and the Utah state Future Farmers of America President. In 2010, while driving from Utah to a new “dream job” at the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo in Denver, Colorado, she was involved in a rollover accident that ejected her from her vehicle. She was paralyzed from the waist down.

Since the accident, in March 2015 Snyder competed in the world’s richest one-day rodeo, The American, in Dallas, Texas, as the fan’s exemption. She also competed in breakaway roping and barrel racing on the Utah State University Rodeo Team, ending the season fifth in the Rocky Mountain Region. She works as a motivational speaker and writer.
