The daughter of Hall of Fame stock contractor Harry Vold and Tad Lucas Award winner Karen Womack Vold, Kirsten grew up on the road at rodeos across the country and developed an affinity for animals along the way. Vold learned the rodeo business from every angle while working for the Vold Rodeo Company. The youngest of six children, she took over the family business at age 25 and has worked hard to continue the family legacy.
Vold spends over two hundred days a year on the rodeo circuit managing stock. She also manages her family ranch south of Pueblo, Colorado, running a several hundred head heard of bucking horses. Her stud, Painted Valley, was selected to six Wrangler National Finals Rodeos and won awards in 2009 and 2010.
