Brown Bag Lunch Series: Wild West Toys

The exhibition Playing Cowboy is drawn entirely of selections from the Johnie and Bob Terry collection in Springtown, Texas. The Terrys own and operate Wild West Toys, a company that manufactures die-cast metal cap guns and molded plastic Western figures from original toy molds from the 1950s and 1960s. Bob Terry is a self-taught historian of the American West. He has hosted classic Western movies as well as produced, edited and directed biographies of historical people, places and culture of the American West. The Terrys also collect historic items dealing with the subject including a very large collection of Western toys. Hear from Bob as he discusses his passion for all things of the American West. Especially the toys!
