Bumgardner is a storyteller and cowboy poet of Texas history, cowboys, and tall tales. This small collection contains one publicity packet of articles and a publicity photograph.
“I began writing cowboy type poetry and stories in 1990 after one of my horses fell on me, breaking my pelvis. While recuperating, I began writing to keep from going stir crazy. Many of my presentations focus on old Texas and cowboy history, spiced with poetry and quotes to bring it to life.”

This collection consists of one series: Publicity Packet. The packet includes photocopies of newspaper articles about Scott Hill Bumgardner, a biography background sheet, small advertisement, one 8×10 publicity still, and packet folder.

This collection was accessioned in 2002 and filed along with other small cowboy poetry collections. Archivist Laura Anne Heller created the current finding aid on July 14, 2009.
