Bull riding, Bareback Riding, 1948 – 2005

Saddle Bronc Riding at age 12, LeDoux’s grandfather bought him his first pony. He lived his life as a cowboy and loved the West, which was reflected in his music and his everyday life. He started participating in Little Britches rodeos, winning the bareback championship in 1964. In 1967 he won the Wyoming State High School Bareback Championship and in 1969, won the National Intercollegiate Bareback Riding Championship. After receiving his RCA card he traveled across America rodeoing full time, averaging more than 80 rodeos a year. In 1976, LeDoux won the PRCA World Champion Bareback Championship. He was inducted into the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame in 2004 and the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2005.
