March 6 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Cowboy boot maker Lisa Sorrell shares her story in conjunction with the exhibition Cowboy Boots: From Roundups to Runways. Sorrell makes cowboy boots and shoes in her shop in Oklahoma, transforming flat pieces of leather and the client’s measurements into head-turning boots using hand tools and vintage machinery. She will share the boot creation process and focus on the decorative works that define a handmade cowboy boot. Sorrell is known for her passion for tradition and intricately designed and executed cowboy boots. Bring your lunch or purchase one at the Museum Grill.
