Drawing in Different Styles

September 2, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Is variety the spice of your life? Want to try your hand at different techniques? Then this is the art class for you! Join artist “Scottie” Scott as she leads this drawing class combining various styles – including portraiture, still life and plein air – utilizing various media such as graphite, charcoal, conté and watercolor.

August 19: Venture into the Museum’s Garden Gallery for a plein air drawing session
August 26: Draw a portrait from a live model
September 2: Create a drawing inspired by one of the Museum’s works of art
September 9: Explore still life by capturing the essence of an historic object from the Museum’s collection

Instructor: “Scottie” Scott (Linda K. Scott) ran a stained-glass studio for 30 years. Her training and teaching of the traditional glass painting technique led to her interest in drawing. Her passion for the portrait and the enjoyment of teaching continue to draw her back to the classroom to share with others. Skill level: beginner to advanced. $120; $100 for Museum members. Supply list provided. Registration is closed, for questions email: education@nationalcowboymuseum.org.
