The Kiowa Six

The Kiowa Six was made up of six art students who drew inspiration from their Kiowa culture and lifestyle. Their work received international acclaim, and the artists later contributed their skills to create murals in buildings and public schools in Oklahoma. The Kiowa six are considered crucial to the development of Native American art and became some of the most inspirational Native American artists of the 20th century.
