We are excited to welcome you and your party to the museum!

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is America’s premier institution of Western history, art and culture. The Museum collects, preserves and exhibits an internationally renowned collection of Western art and artifacts. Please review the important guidelines below and pass the information on to your party guests. By doing this, you are helping the Museum in the preservation of its collection- Thank you! Guidelines

Arrival: Birthday parties are held on Saturdays, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Party must start and end between those designated times. You are welcome to set up your space for guests no more than 30 minutes prior to the beginning of your party. Upon arrival, please check in with the Visitor Services desk located in the entrance of the Museum.

Food: Birthday Cakes are permitted for parties. No other outside food or drink is allowed inside the Museum. Catering is available through Petroleum Club. For catering information, contact Jennifer Dao at jennifer@petroleumclubokc.com. Refrigeration is not available. Alcohol is not allowed in the Annie Oakley Society Event Center and the Museum.

Decorations: You are welcome to bring any additional table décor or party decoration. However, please do not bring any wall decorations to adhere to the wall or confetti/glitter.

Candles: Birthday candles may ONLY be used within the Annie Oakley Society Event Center.

Service Ware: While paper products such as napkins, plates, forks and spoons are initially provided for 20 guests, you are welcome to bring your own. Serving utensils will be provided for cake cutting while you are at the party.

Admission: Upon party purchase you will receive admission for up to 20 total individuals starting at 3 years and up. Admission for additional children is available at a rate of $10 per person. Members enter for free and admission includes Museum access for the entire day.

Miscellaneous: National Cowboy Museum Education Staff will be on-site for your event but are not exclusive to the birthday party. Use of electric appliances requires prior approval.

  • Birthday parties require two weeks’ notice
  • Party must start and end at its designated time
  • Birthday hosts may arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to the start time
  • Refrigeration is not available
  • No alcohol in the Annie Oakley Society Event Center or Museum
  • Birthday candles may ONLY be used within the Annie Oakley Society Event Center
  • National Cowboy Museum Education staff will be on-site for your event but are not exclusive to the birthday party
  • Birthday parties must be paid for in full at the time of booking
  • Additional Guests – $10 per person (aged 3 and up), Members are free
  • All add-on items must be finalized one week prior to the party date
  • Catering requests must be made 3 weeks before party date
  • All birthday guests must check in at the front desk upon arrival to the Museum
Cancellation
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to reserved date will receive a full refund or rescheduled date (subject to availability)
  • Parties cancelled within less than 30 days-notice will be refunded less a $50 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation must be made in writing
  • Refunds not given for “no shows”
