Bio

Sharen Jester Turney is a globally respected retail executive, philanthropist, and Oklahoma native whose career has shaped some of the world’s most iconic fashion, luxury, and lifestyle brands. With more than 30 years of leadership experience, Turney is best known for her transformative tenure as President and CEO of Victoria’s Secret, where she nearly doubled the company’s revenue and profit over 16 years.

Born and raised on a working farm and cattle ranch in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Turney’s roots in hard work and perseverance shaped her approach to business. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in business education, she has remained deeply connected to her alma mater, serving on the OU Foundation Board of Trustees and earning numerous honors, including the OU Award of Distinction and induction into both the OU Hall of Fame for Business Education and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

Her career includes key leadership roles at Neiman Marcus—where she oversaw six merchandising divisions, launched the brand’s e-commerce platform, and led the famed Neiman Marcus Christmas Book—and as interim CEO of Gloria Jeans, Russia’s largest apparel retailer. Turney has advised major U.S. and European retail and technology brands, including Mark & Spencer, Happy Socks, Paycom, Bread Financial, and NewStore.

A committed humanitarian, Turney has been honored nationally for her leadership and philanthropy, supporting causes ranging from children’s welfare to women’s education worldwide. Her generosity includes scholarships, teacher training, global relief efforts, and programs supporting homeless women and children.
