Bio

Alex Currie worked in logging in Minnesota before moving to Cando, North Dakota as a homesteader and farmer.

He eventually built his holdings to 2,720 acres. He imported stallions and mares from Belgium and purebred shorthorns from Scotland to build his livestock herds.

Currie was active in many livestock and agricultural associations. He served two terms as a Commissioner of Towner County. In addition, he was President of the North Dakota Shorthorn Breeders Association and a Director of the North Dakota Livestock Breeders Association.
