Rodeo Bullfighter

Working in an act with his brother Gene, Bobby Clark was one of the top clowns and bullfighters in rodeo for more than 30 years. Born in Oklahoma, Bobby Clark originally competed in calf roping and bulldogging.

From the 1940s through the 1970s, Bobby and Gene Clark, working sometimes as individuals and sometimes as a team, saved hundreds of cowboys from trampling by bulls. Noted for their original specialty acts, they performed at all of the major rodeos in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and in Havana, Cuba. In 1970 Bobby Clark was selected to work the National Finals Rodeo.

Bobby Clark served on the Board of Directors of the Pro Rodeo Historical Society. Retired from rodeo since 1978, he lives in Redmond, Oregon, where he trains racehorses and Border collies.
