Glory Be! It’s Punkin’s Story!

Juvenile Book

: Carolyn Wills

Bio

“Glory Be! It’s Punkin’s Story!” is the tale of a feisty, lonely colt who becomes the beloved and famous stallion of legendary “King of Western Swing,” Bob Wills. Written by Wills’ daughter, and told from Punkin’s perspective, this fun peek into America’s West is filled with humor, suspense, and, yes, music and dancing. Beautifully illustrated, it’s a creative tale about a lone colt’s journey to fame
and friendships. Beginning in New Mexico and ending en route to Hollywood via Route 66, the story mostly happens in Tulsa during a historic period (1934-1942) known as Bob Wills’ “Glory Years.”
Including a special “Tailpiece” complete with historic photos, stories and references, it’s the story of Punkin and his adventures with Bob Wills, the man who sees and believes in him. It’s about the power of belief, friendship, fun, action and (yes) hard work. But, most of all, Glory BE! It’s Punkin’s Story (And he wants to share it with YOU!)
