Exploring the incredible impact toys had on the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Examining a special exhibit of western toys, titled Playing Cowboy, held from February 10 – May 7, 2023. Additionally why the public response and attendance was much larger than any other of the museums previous exhibitions. We also look into the history and origins of classic, vintage, and newer western toys. Moreover how the toys have contributed to creating and maintaining children’s interest in the American West.
