The Hok Hok is a bird who, in Northwest Coast mythology, was associated with Baxbakwalanuksiwae, a cannibalistic giant. Along with Raven and Crooked Beak, two other birds, they killed and ate humans. In one story, these birds helped two brothers overpower and kill Baxbakwalanuksiwae and take the giant’s powers.
