During the mid-twentieth century, Pueblo and Navajo artists began to push the boundaries of traditional Southwest jewelry. New techniques combined with complex styles and design elements. Distinctive styles of silverwork continue to be associated with particular Southwest tribes. The Zuni, for instance, are known for their superb lapidary skills in setting multiple stones. Known as a lapidary artist, Bobby Concho follows this new tradition of inlay jewelry makers.
