Cultural Continuation

Cowboys, ranching, and rodeo are aspects that non-Native people commonly do not associate with Native American culture. However, it is a major part of many different western tribes, particularly the Navajo. One of the largest Native American rodeo and livestock fairs is held annually on the Navajo Nation. They also have their own professional rodeo association and hold several sanctioned rodeos throughout the 17-million-acre reservation land.
