Join us Monday evenings as we spark imaginations by hosting virtual bedtime stories with “Bedtime Buckaroos,” presented by Paycom.

Storytime plays a vital role in introducing children to the magic of books. Each week we’ll feature a new engaging Western story read by local authors, community leaders, traditional storytellers and Museum staff.’

This week, listen to Todd Bridgewater read “Deep in the Swamp” by Donna M. Bateman and illustrated by Brian Lies.

“Set to the melody of “Over in the Meadow,” readers will love reading, counting, and singing along with the creatures that live in the swamp. Count from one otter pup and his mother, two little turtles and their mama snapping turtle, three little chicks and their mother flame bird, all the way up to ten baby crayfish in their underwater den.”

About the Reader

Todd Bridgewater serves as the Manager of Volunteer Engagement at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. He recruits, trains and coaches volunteers to apply best practices in museum education.
