Bedtime Buckaroos: “The Hike”

Join us as we spark imaginations by hosting virtual bedtime stories with “Bedtime Buckaroos,” presented by Paycom.

Storytime plays a vital role in introducing children to the magic of books. Each week we’ll feature a new engaging Western story read by local authors, community leaders, traditional storytellers and Museum staff.

This week, listen to Makenzi Northenor read “The Hike” by Alison Farrell (Author & Illustrator).

About the Author

Alison Farrell is an illustrator-author living in Portland Oregon, where she loves to ride bikes and hike.

About the Reader

Hello! My name is Makenzi Northenor and I am the manager of the Annie Oakley Society here at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. I am so excited to be a part of Bedtime Buckaroos. Some fun facts about myself are that I went to school in London, my favorite season is winter, and my favorite Western historical figure is, of course, Annie Oakley! I hope you enjoy my reading of “The Hike!”
