About the Reader
Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Disorders Medicine was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He moved to Oklahoma City during his grade school years and returned to practice in OKC more than thirty years ago, treating both adults and children.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Schwartz graduated with a Master of Science in Television from Syracuse University allowing him to work both in front of and behind the camera.
For more than twenty years, Dr. Schwartz has volunteered in OKC as a mentor for disadvantaged youth at a local charter grade school. His ability to hold an audience, answer the questions from curious, open and honest young children, and introduce them to a variety of ideas, hopes and dreams has been one of the most satisfying endeavors in his distinguished career. “Believe, Hope and Dream” is an important message that he conveys during his classes.
Lending his voice to the Bedtime Buckaroos series is an opportunity to continue inspiring children in a new way. His words, “Be Happy, Healthy, and Safe” are known by grandchildren, nieces and nephews and students alike, and have become their motto.
