Bedtime Buckaroos: “Tuned Out”

Posted on December 14, 2020 by Seth "from Marketing" Spillman in

Join us Monday evenings as we spark imaginations by hosting virtual bedtime stories with “Bedtime Buckaroos,” presented by Paycom.

Storytime plays a vital role in introducing children to the magic of books. Each week we’ll feature a new engaging Western story read by local authors, community leaders, traditional storytellers and Museum staff.’

This week, listen to Todd Bridgewater read “Tuned Out” by Jenny H. Lyman and illustrated by Gideon Burnett.

“When Moose gets a new smartphone he doesn’t realize how distracting it is going to be. From missing out during a family BBQ to texting while on a date, things start to get really bad for this Tuned Out Moose! It is only when the year is finally over that he reflects on all of the experiences he missed, that he makes some important life choices and decides to stay tuned IN!”

About the Reader

Todd Bridgewater serves as the Manager of Volunteer Engagement at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. He recruits, trains and coaches volunteers to apply best practices in museum education.
