Bio

After managing his father’s ranch, Henry Cazier began his own ranch in 1910. His H.H. Cazier Hereford Ranch was known for the quality of its purebred animals.

In 1927, Cazier organized the Willis Power Company to bring electricity to the Willis-Deeth-Starr Valley areas in Nevada, the state’s first system of rural electrification. Cazier served as President and Manager of the company from 1927 until it was sold in 1960.

He also served as President of the Nevada Board of Stock Commissioners, the Nevada Hereford Association, the Elko County Board of Education and the Nevada Monarch Mining Company.
